The perfect combination of rustic and garden elegance!

History
“The Parkwood gardens have references to the great gardens of England and Europe, but with a 20th-century spirit. Much of the landscape design draws inspiration from the English Arts & Crafts gardening movement. This style called for a high degree of formality near the house, dissolving into less formal presentation with distance from the house, including a broad expanse of immaculate lawn.”
Features
The Tennis Court is nestled on the West side of the Estate, giving it a quieter, more private aesthetic than the other gardens. Surrounded by towering, mature trees to the South, and perennial florals and foliage to the West, the wide expanse of the grassed tennis court is the largest, flattest area in the gardens. The gardens provide a beautiful backdrop for ceremonies, picnics, and seated events. The East side of the Tennis Court provides a view of the mansion with proximity to the Italian Garden, accessibility ramp and public washrooms.
The Arbour, adjacent to the Tennis Court is the ideal location for covered celebrations and meetings. Patio stones provide solid footing for tables & chairs. Vintage string-lights adorn the wooden structure for a warm, rustic feeling. Two sides are open to mature trees with a view of the South Lawn. A roll up door on the North side can provide added air flow when open or added warmth and protection when closed. Lexan windows on the West side of the structure provide extra light while keeping the area cool and private.
